R+M President Tapped for World Record Food Drive

N.C. School of Science, Math Collects Nearly 560,000 Pounds of Food in One Day

Earlier this month, the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) collected nearly 560,000 pounds of food in one day thanks to an army of volunteers, including Beverly Murray, president of R+M and alumna of NCSSM’s first graduating class, the Class of 1982. Murray was part of the school’s Alumni Leadership Committee, which helped organize and promote the March 5 event on the school’s Durham campus. Documentation will be submitted to Guinness World Records later this month to confirm the record-breaking event.

R+M announces Executive Vice President Greg Norton has been selected as a new member of the Board of Directors for Inter-Faith Food Shuttle – a non-profit organization that pioneers innovative, transformative solutions designed to end hunger in our Triangle community. Greg’s board appointment will begin January 1, 2011.
